Celine Dyer is the Climate Change Coordinator in the Office of the Prime Minister, Government of the Cook Islands. She has been in the role for just over 10 years during which she has witnessed the transition and growth of the Climate Change office. This includes the establishment of the Climate Change office under the Office of the Prime Minister, the development of the initial Climate Change Policy 2013 – 2016 with subsequent updated version 2018 – 2028. She was involved in the development of the initial Cook Islands NDCs and is currently overseeing the updated version, and supervised the development of the Third Nat Com submitted in 2020. In her role she liaises with the Mayors and EOs in the respective outer islands of the Cook Islands, conducts community consultations and engages with people on the islands pertaining to climate change.
